Dos Copas means “two glasses” – which is a great way to start your night, but it’s really about two brothers who had two dreams of two places with two much fun for one place, so they opened two, in one place. Confused? Let us explain.
Step inside your choice of two sets of double doors and find two distinct places right under one roof—two sides of the same coin, the yin and the yang of it, both the left and the right of life—tailor made for you and your family.
At Dos Copas, we operate with one word in mind – Freestyle. Dos Copas doesn’t serve “Tex-Mex”, you can find that anywhere. Our grill serves its own fresh and flavorful, thoroughly addictive Baja cuisine. We don’t have sombreros and donkey pictures on the walls. We hang surfboards in our Cantina. We dismiss “how things are suppose to be” and do things our way. So why Freestyle? Because we don’t know any other way.
We can all feel the daily grind that is designed to make us boring and keep us asleep to who we really are. We think this is horse crap. So wake up kids, the power is shifting. Dos Copas isn’t politically correct. That’s not important to us. We don’t care if you’re a blue button-down wearing power luncher or a leather wearing, tattoo-covered power drinker. We don’t care what your style is, as long as it’s your freestyle. Dos Copas is your home today, so unplug, relax, and escape the grind!
Dos Copas is owned by Paul and Flay Dalrymple, brothers from North Georgia. They are born entrepreneurs, who possess an intense talent of seeing things in our world that are average and breathing life back into them. One day, on the way back from a fishing tournament, the D-brothers came across a sleepy, small-town Mexican restaurant and bar for sale. They instantly knew what to do. The D-brothers work tirelessly (often to the point of obsession) so you are able to relax, eat and drink in a comfortable environment that speaks and thinks the same way as you. They believe in Freestyle progress, a set of shared beliefs that include hating the expected, responding to customer cravings, delivering a unique product with consistently excellent service, being environmentally conscious, giving back to the local community, and having fun while doing it!
Our staff is hyper-focused to help you have a great time at Dos Copas. They are…er… “Professional Fun Deliverers.” Don’t hesitate to ask questions or let your server or bartender know how we can help you escape the grind.
We expand our service beyond the doors of Dos Copas. For over 10 years, we have proudly supported local schools, rec leagues and fund raising events. We live, work, shop, and reinvest locally. We believe family local community and small business are important. Come and see why we’re not just another chain restaurant.
If dining out for you normally consists of finding the most boring chicken sandwich on the menu and ordering it plain, Dos Copas probably isn’t for you. Feel free to get back in your car and find the nearest chain restaurant. We won’t judge.
Freestyle food is about fusion with attitude. We get excited by pairing fresh multi-cultural ingredients that will surprise you. 99% of our menu is made daily from scratch and you’ll taste the difference. Don’t see exactly what you want on the menu? Throw us your request and we’ll do our best to deliver your food, your way.
Freestyle freedom comes with great responsibility and Dos Copas aims to be a leader in practicing green restaurant management. Our restaurant includes programmable thermostats, infrared water-saver faucets, and low flow toilets. Our menus, to-go cups, to-go packaging, and bathroom towels are made with recycled materials. Our kitchen uses organic products. We run a recycling program in our bar to ensure our beverage cans and bottles don’t end up in landfills. Let’s save the world, we can be heroes.
You’ll have one difficult decision to make when you enter through our front door. To the right is Dos Copas Freestyle Grill, because whatever is right with the world is even more right, right behind these doors. You can all rest your mind and fill your belly with a tall, frosty glass of laid-back and a big steaming plate of fresh, savory comfort that we like to call “Addictive Baja Cuisine”.
Dos Copas Cantina is to the left, because behind these two doors, what’s left of your brain after the world gets through with you, won’t be left for long. We don’t have to translate what “cantina” means…the band fires up at 9:00pm, so just help yourself to a salt-rimmed jolt of kicked-up fun, and then grab a double shot of wild-side attitude on the house, as you indulge in a rousing game of who-cares-anyway. Oh, and when you get hungry, we’ll feed you, and then send you home happy and exhausted. You’ll get happy either way, so the decision if yours. Choose wisely.
